statement scarves.

i just wanted to show you all what i wore today. thursdays are my day off each week, and today i just chilled at home & did some work for a palliative care course that im doing through work, then this afternoon i did a bit of shopping with mother dearest.

im really loving wearing everything simple with something that stands out, this includes in my makeup & in my clothes. atm, i love statement scarves :)>

mint choc chip nails.

hello my little cherubs :)

having given up on the idea of trying to grow my nails out naturally, i have resorted back to gel nail extensions, i just can't cope with stubby, half chewed nails that i cannot even paint because they are soo short and brittle! so i tottled off to my mums work friend who does them for me, and wallaaaah! i now have lovely long and strong nails once more! ;)

im really loving being able to paint them all the colours of the rainbow once more! and my first nail polish of choice has been a beautiful pastel shade (my favourite shades of the moment) perfect for spring! this little beaut is number 17's "lasting fix" nailpolish in mint choc chip. delicious! ;)

at the moment, im loving really simple makeup with a twist of colour to spice it up a bit. im working a lot at the moment, so my makeup has to be quick, easy & relatively subtle. im really loving revlons super lustrous lipglosses in the colour's from their spring collection, and so i've been using one of these as my twist of colour in the mornings. my main goals for this look is flawless foundation, with warm cheeks and lashings of mascara, plus a colourful lip.

face: MAC fix+ as a base all over the face, gosh touch up concealer in "1" under eyes and on all blemishes, MAC studio sculpt spf15 foundation in "nw15", rimmel stay matte pressed powder in "001 translucent" buffed on top of foundation to set, ELF "golden" bronzer to roughly countour, MAC mineralize blush in "dainty" on apples of cheeks

eyes: curl lashes well, maxfactor masterpiece max mascara in "black", followed by rimmel sexy curves mascara in "001 black" and keep re-applying until lashes are thick and full

lips: scrub lips with lush lip scrub in "mint julips", revlon super lustrous lipgloss in "lilac pastelle" from their spring collection all over the lips

SKINCARE-

How many times do you wash your face daily?- Once in the evening after i have taken all of my makeup off.

What skin type do you have?- Combination. During the winter my skin is dry in patches, and oily in these patches during the summer!

What is your current facial wash?- Clinique Mild Facial Soap

Do you exfoliate?- Yes, twice a week.

What brand do you use?- Lush Dark Angels.

What moisturizer do you use?- At the moment im using Garnier So Soft Daycream.

Do you have freckles?- Yes, although they are only visable in the summer!

Do you use eye cream?- Nope, although i should look into finding a good one!

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?- I did when i was at Secondary School but after various lotions and potions and medicines from the doctor my skin is now not so bad!

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ? Nope.

MAKE-UP-

What foundation do you use?- I always mix up what foundations i use rather than using just one. For example, during the day im really loving Bourjois 10hr sleep affect foundation, and i still love my MAC studio sculpt spf15 for going out in the evenings or for special occasions. Other favourite foundations of mine are Revlon Colourstay, Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid and L'Oreal True Match Mineral Powder Foundation.

How about concealer?- Gosh "Touch Up"

Do you know your undertone color?- Ummm cool i think?!

What do you think of fake eyelashes?- I love them! Their so girly and glam and can really create a look. I don't wear them everyday though!

Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?- Yes, although i just can't justify throwing away products that i have barely used that seem to be in good condition still!

What brand of mascara do you use?- Allsorts! Maybelline, Maxfactor, L'Oreal, Bourjois, Revlon, Rimmel, Lancome..

Sephora or MAC?- MAC

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?- Nopey.

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?- Eyelash curler, makeup brushes, sometimes sponges.

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?- UDDP.

For the face?- Still using up my YSL Matt Touch and then going to try out Clinique Pore Perfector.

What is your favorite eyeshadow?- I really can't pick just one!

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?- Both.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?- Quite a lot actually, im always rushing!

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?- They can be messy but the effect is gorgeous!

Do you use mineral makeup?- Yes.

What is your favorite lipstick?- MAC "Hue"

How about lipgloss?- Im really loving Revlon's lipglosses at the moment, especially the colours from their Spring Collection.

What is your favorite blush to use?- Im really loving MAC's Mineralize blush in "Dainty" at the mo.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?- No.

Do you like drugstore makeup?- Yesssssssss :)

Do you go to CCO's?- None in my area :(

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?- No, i learn from people on youtube and blogger!

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?- I can be!

Do you like colorful shades of makeup or neutral ones?- Both, but i often play it safe with neutrals!

Which celebrity always has great make up?- Kim Kardashian.

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?- Foundation.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?- Yes although i don't feel comfortable doing so!

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?- Not good, no.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?- MAC

What do you think of Makeup?- I love makeup, i think that it enhances a persons natural beauty and really plays up their best features! It's a way of projecting your feelings, mood and your personality. Its part of being a girl!

hey my darlings, how are you all?

so as you may have noticed, i have been totally MIA recently, and for that i apologise. I have had so much going on and i have had no time for my blog. Things are finally settling down, and i have time to do as i wish :)
I thought i would give this place a spring clean, and so everything is new.. my layout, my profile, even all new posts as i deleted the old ones. Look out for a lot more variation and vibrance! I don't just want this to be a blog about makeup & beauty products, but i also want to talk about all things i am passionate about and am interested in, as well as a more personal side of myself shown through my posts. I want to inspire and help people, as well as bring enjoyment!
